Canadian journal of tropical geography (CJTG) is an open access, peer-reviewed and refereed journal published by geography department of Laurentian University. CJTG aims to encourage the exchange of ideas between geographers in Canada and elsewhere as well as the dissemination of knowledge relating to tropical geographical spaces. It showcases the critical thinking on tropical spaces at the level of both physical and human geography. Its purpose is to: 1) Expand on an international scale the scope of knowledge and discussion on tropical geographical spaces; 2) Disseminate research on tropical geography; 3) Promote theoretical understanding of the tropical space; and 4) Present theoretical and practical models as well as conceptual tools applied to solving problems in tropical spaces.
The CJTG was created to speed up the dissemination of research work and promote discussion between researchers and practitioners in the tropical world. To this end – that is, to expand the exchange of ideas, methods and results, as well as ensure a high scientific standard – the Journal will appear in English and French, submit articles for review by an international editorial.
The Journal will focus on several geography-related themes such as: Climatology, Biogeography, Hydrology, Geomorphology, Cartography, Remote sensing, Environment, Cultural geography, Economic geography, Urban planning, Regional planning, Urban geography, Geopolitics, Sustainable development, Rural development, Regional development, Transport, Demographics, Population and health, etc.
CJTG is inviting papers for vol. 6, no 1 & 2 which are scheduled to be published in April 15, 2019 and September 30, 2019.
